Recreational Basketball
This recreational league is all about having fun, learning new skills, and building good sportsmanship. Teams will practice 2 times a week and play games on Saturdays against other surrounding towns.
Evaluation night will be the second week of November and practices will start the third week of November. Practices will be held at Preston Veterans’ Memorial School or Preston Plains Middle School. Games will be both home and away. Players will be assessed based on their skills and will be assigned to a Recreation team. Everyone will be assigned to a team. There are no cuts for the Recreational teams.

Travel Basketball
This new travel league is designed for boys in 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th grade. We will have one 6th Grade Team (5th & 6th graders) and one 8th grade team (7th & 8th graders). Players are allowed to play up but aren't allowed to play down a division. Each team will be made up of players from Preston, North Stonington, and Voluntown. These teams will participate in the CT Basketball Conference.
Try outs will take place the second week of November. Players must be in attendance to make the travel team. No exceptions will be made. Players will be assessed based on their skills and will be assigned to either a Recreational team or a Travel team. Everyone will be assigned to a team. There are no cuts for the Recreational teams. Please note because this is a joint Travel Team with North Stonington and Voluntown only four players from Preston will be selected per team.
Practices will be 2 times a week in Preston, North Stonington, or Voluntown. Games will be held home and away on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

All players will register under the same registration. If your player makes the travel team, an additional fee of $50 will have to be submitted.
